Biography
I’m running the Iditarod because I have been raised wild and free. At an early age I was indoctrinated to outdoors by my father Michael Paveglio. We hunted, fished and sailed the Great Lakes of Michigan. I wrestled and ran through high school and had a good bit of local success due to great coaching. My athletics and upbringing have put me where I am now. I’ve met great friends and mentors in this sport of mushing. By them I’m compelled to continue on into the wilderness and be more free or more alive! The last 20 years I’ve taken care of patients that have had their best years stolen from them by illness. I realize more now that we need to make the most of our moments and the Iditarod is the opportunity for me to live that spirit.
