Mushers gathered today at the Lakefront Hotel in Anchorage for their annual Musher meeting. 

After taking a year off due to injury, Al Eischens is back for his 5th Iditarod & is excited about his team.

Members of the Iditarod & major sponsors of the Last Great Race spoke with the media this afternoon.  

Jeff is optimistic for the weather conditions and outlook for this year’s race. He voiced confidence in his team’s ability to provide strength and speed. 

Substitute Teacher Kathleen Kearns of Fort Wayne, Indiana fulfilled her dream of coming to the Iditarod & meeting Martin Buser.  

Bruce Lee caught up with Nils Hahn of Nome, AK, to talk about logistics, his team & what to expect when they hit the coast.

Dr. Jason Heezen of South Dakota is finally at the Iditarod.  He’s tried to get on the team of Veterinarians for 15 years, and this year he gets his chance to work with an amazing group and help the animals he deeply loves.
