Jeff King is on the move, followed by Aliy Zirkle. He did not spend much time in Ruby. We caught up with him on the river not too far out of town and his team was moving extremely well. 10 plus miles an hour. No wind to speak of and Northern Lights dancing above. That run does not get much better than that. The trail is hard packed. It must have seen quite a bit of village traffic. Well marked too. Coming into Galena is a bit different than usual. The trail basically passes town before swinging off the river right at the end of the village. Very nice checkpoint setup waiting for the mushers. No pictures this time, sorry. Sebastian
