Biography
Katrina Pawlaczyk, 25, has delayed the completion of her degrees in zoology and art history from the University of Toronto to mush in the Iditarod. All but two of her dogs are Iditarod rookies. Katrina has trained her yearlings exclusively and has known and cared for all of them since they were puppies. In her first race, the Knik 200, she finished ninth and won the Gary Paulson Humanitarian Award. Katrina looks forward to finishing the Iditarod with a happy, healthy group of yearlings. In the future she is hoping to run the Yukon Quest.
