Biography
Dean Rosair, 22, was born in Ohio. He attended West Point Military Academy from 2002 through 2004. He moved to Alaska in November of 2004 to become a handler. Dean says, “I hope to become the first rookie to finish both the Yukon Quest and the Iditarod in the same season. I was initially taught the art of mushing under the tutelage of Gary Paulsen. In the summer of 2005, I met Hugh Neff while working as a dogcart driver in Skagway, Alaska. This winter we are teamed up and participating in quite a few of the Alaskan/Yukon races. I am thankful for everything Hugh and Tamra have provided me.” He lists his hobbies as mountain climbing, backpacking, road trips and photography. He lists is profession as dog musher/writer.
