Contender Nic Petit is off of his 24 hour rest in Nikolai with 12 healthy happy dogs.  He spent a few minutes grabbing supplies in McGrath before heading back out on the trail.

Rookie musher Jed Stephensen had to either hold on and go head on into a bush, or let go.  A little bump in the road didn’t slow down his dream of finishing his first Iditarod.  We caught up with Jed on his 24 hour rest in McGrath.

Joanna Jagow stopped in McGrath where she’ll take her 24 hour rest before heading back out on the trail.  She talked with the Insider.
