When dropped dogs spend time at the Race Headquarters dog lot at the Millennium, they stay cozy while they wait for their family to pick them up.
The veterinarians and the volunteers who work in the dog lot put down a bed of straw for the dogs to snooze in while they wait.
Often the dogs get to wear warming jackets or are covered with small fleece blankets not because the dogs are cold, but just to add a layer of extra comfort and special care for these very special guests in the dog lot.
It is so much fun to see these wonderful athletes, cozy on a straw bed. It makes me spin and spin and spin with happiness! Lucky dogs!
Just spinning some De’tails’!
