The Iditarod is proud to announce that we have selected an interim Associate Director of Education, 2008 Iditarod Teacher on the Trail ™, Jane Holmes.  Jane is a 6th grade elementary teacher at Ursa Major Elementary School, in Anchorage.

Alaska has been home to Jane since 2015, when she began teaching at Togiak School in rural Alaska. For the last 13 years Jane has been a volunteer with the Iditarod EDU program to include conference, website, and curriculum support. She has also provided communications support at a number of checkpoints on the Iditarod Trail during the race. Please help us welcome Jane in her new role at Iditarod EDU!
