Jim’s Session

Coding Down the Trail As a participant in this session, you will be introduced to Iditarod STEM activities that can be done to incorporate coding at any grade level. Learn how to use coding bots such as Dash & Dots to help students learn about the trailbreakers for the race, and Ozobots to engage students by integrating the map and checkpoints of the race. Practice with an actual bot, and create your own codes to get hands-on experience with the activity to bring back to your classroom. These lessons also provide multiple extension activities which include other tech options for enrichment opportunities.

Erin’s Session
