Well it looks like most of the teams have either finished their 24 hour rest or are taking it now.  There have been a lot of changes in position since yesterday.  Make sure you check and see where your musher is.

WEATHER:   The weather in Cripple and Ruby is 2 degrees and fair. The weather along the trail from Nikolai to Ophir is -12 degrees and fair.

Answer to today’s question: There have already been a few awards given.  Do you know what they were and where they were given?

GCI Dorothy Page Halfway Award- given to the first musher to Cripple was given to Aaron Burmeister. He will receive a trophy and $3000 in gold nuggets.

Millennium Alaskan Hotel, First Musher to the Yukon Award- given to Jeff King.  He will receive a 5 course meal and $3500.

Congratulations to Aaron and Jeff.
