“U” can only stand for one thing today…UNDENIABLE victory!  Jessie Holmes has done it!  He crossed under the burled arch in Nome at exactly 9:32 pm this evening, finishing the Iditarod in more than 9 days with 12 dogs in harness!  His lead dogs, Zeus and Polar, were unbelievable in getting him here.   He has the unique accomplishment of winning back-to-back Iditarods in both 2025 and 2026, a feat only accomplished by only 5 other mushers in history.  To say he has joined the ranks of so few to achieve this, is an understatement.  Front Street was lined with people cheering and celebrating as they congratulated him with utmost excitement.  He had an undeniably great race, leading and virtually untouchable for most of the trail.  Unsurprisingly, he gave every ounce of the credit to his dog team.  As a sincere thank you, he treated each of them to a ribeye steak after crossing the finish line.  The unstoppable Travis Beals is charging up the trail to become the second musher to finish this ultimate race.  This is his best finish to date and everyone is incredibly proud of him.  We will enjoy seeing the rest of the top ten in the next day or so, however we are beyond sad to see that Mille Porsild, Jody Potts-Joseph, and Grayson Bruton have all scratched for various reasons. Your Iditarod supporters are undoubtably proud of you!  Mushers are truly incredible. Their unwillingness to ever give up, and their unconditional love for these teams of dogs is what makes these mushers unbelievable!

“U” just enjoy having fun with this coloring page of the finish line!
