December Fun on the Trail Friday!

Fun on the Trail Friday Games

Here we go with another Fun on the Trail Friday!  This month brings you a set of cards…7 pages of cards to be exact, with 9 cards per page!  What makes this month fun is that you can use them in any or all of 3 ways.  Use them all or pick and choose based on your grade level or ability in your class.  There is no right or wrong.  Just print the cards, cut them out, and have an Iditarod Fun Friday!

Pictionary– Split your class into teams and have them compete against one another.  Bring 1 student from each group to the board and show them a card.  Each one then attempts to draw what is on the card while their team members guess what it is.  No actions or talking allowed! The first team to correctly guess the word gets a point.  Play to a certain number of points or for a certain amount of time.

20 Questions– You choose a card and students work as a class to try and guess the word.  They ask YES/NO questions and all you can answer is yes or no with no elaborating.  Examples of questions could be: Is it living? Is it a place?  Does it have to do with dogs?  Is it something you can hold in your hands?  The goal is for students to guess the word in less than 20 questions.

Charades– Split your class into 2 groups.  One from each group comes to you to see a card you have chosen.  They then act out the word, without speaking, while fellow teammates guess. The first team to correctly guess the word wins a point. You can play to a certain number of points or for a certain amount of time.
