This week’s Trail Word Tuesday brings you the legendary Mitch Seavey! He has not only completed the Iditarod 28 times, he also has 3 championships to his name. The Seavey name is synonymous with Iditarod. His father, Dan Seavey, was one of the founders of the race and his son, Dallas, is the all-time leading winner with 6 wins. When you hear the name Seavey, you can’t help but stand in awe of this legendary family of mushers!
“Team work – a sleddog team is a perfect example of teamwork. Without it, it is impossible to move forward. Each dog and the driver must do their part. Even the sled is part of the team as it needs to be loaded correctly with the correct runners on to help the dogs pull easily. Most corporations would love to have a team that works together as well as a Sleddog Team”- Mitch Seavey
