“I am a 34 year old guide.  My wife, Sara, and I own and operate Grizzle-T Dog & Sled Works, a dog sled touring business in Steamboat Springs, Co.  I was born in Sioux Falls, SD and attended the University of Minnesota, Morris.  In search of adventure and the great out of doors I moved to Steamboat in 1996 where I spent winters skiing and summers travelling around guiding backpacking, kayaking, and climbing trips.   In 2000 I started mushing and life has gone to the dogs ever since.  For the last ten years I have owned Grizzle-T Dog & Sled Works.  I love being able to go to work everyday with my best friends, the dogs and my wife.  Since I first stood on the runners, Iditarod has been a dream that is finally coming true.  For the last five years I have been working with my friend Tom Thurston and Double T kennel to try and build a crew of competitive Iditarod athletes.  This year I will be running a young team of mostly yearlings and look forward to seeing them grow and develop on our journey to Nome.”
