Jeff Deeter and his wife KattiJo have quite an operation outside of Fairbanks.  They are part of a new breed of musher and they have learned to keep their dogs happy and healthy and have found personal balance as well.  Here is a day in the life of the Deeters.

She grew up in the mushing hot bed of Bethel, Alaska.  Her love of the sleddog led her into mushing and it also led her into her career.  She’s a real expert in the health and well being of these dogs.

You might think that Iditarod Dogs are always outside after all they are genetically equipped for that.  Well hold your horses!  That just isn’t the case at the Zirkles!  🙂 Sorry, Allen.

Linwood Fiedler has become a fixture on the Iditarod Trail. He believes in happy healthy sleddogs and goes to any lengths to ensure that.  We caught up to LInwood at his kennel in Willow, Alaska.
