Nicolas Petit receives Bristol Bay Native Corporation Fish First Award in Kaltag

What a race! We don’t know who the 2018 Iditarod Champion is yet, but there have been other awards along the trail. Mitch Seavey won the PenAir Spirit of Alaska Award as the first musher into McGrath. Joar Leifseth Ulsom won the Dorothy G. Page Halfway Award for the first to Iditarod. Nicolas Petit won the Lakefront Anchorage First Musher to the Yukon Award and the Bristol Bay Native Corporation Fish First award for the first into Kaltag. Woowoowooo! 

My friends out on the trail are loving this year’s race.  63 mushers and hundreds of dogs are still on the trail. The race isn’t over yet . . . keep checking the tracker and standings for what looks to be an exciting finish.
