Well Nome is still a busy place.  5 more teams have arrived since last nights update and 8 teams are due into Nome soon.  So keep watching.  One team to watch this morning is Mike Ellis’ team of all Siberians.  Mike is due in this morning and should break the record for an all Siberian team.

WHERE ARE THE MUSHERS: 8 teames have left White Mountain and headed to Safety. They should be into Nome this morning. The next 7 teams are in White Mountain. 3 teams have left Elim,  2 teams have left Koyuk, 2 teams are in Koyuk, , 3 teams are in Shaktoolik, 2  teams are in Unalakleet, 1 teams has left Kaltag,

RED LANTERN POSITION: Bob Chlupach who has left Kaltag

WEATHER: The weather in Unalakleet is 9 degrees and fair. The weather in Shaktoolik is 6 degrees and fair. The weather in Koyuk is 10 degrees and fair. The weather in Elim is 12 degrees and fair.  The weather in White Mountain is 14 degrees and fair and the weather in Nome is 18 degrees and fair.

SCRATCHED: Charley Bejna scratched between Unalakleet and Shaktoolik in the best interest of his team.  Charley and his team will be transported to Shaktoolik.  Both Musher and dogs are fine.

Cindy Abbott scratched in Kaltag due to a muscle strain and in the best interest of her dogs.
