Today is a BIG day for three visitors to Anchorage. These three people are teachers and they are in Anchorage because they are finalists for the 2014 Iditarod Teacher on the Trail™. Many months ago, Jennifer Reiter, Susan Smith, and Shannon Wyckoff, along with four other people, sent their application documents to Iditarod’s Education Department for a review in hopes that they’d be selected as finalists for 2014 Iditarod Teacher on the Trail™. Jennifer, Susan, and Shannon were selected and will spend a week in Anchorage as a part of the competition for the job of Teacher on the Trail™.
Our K9 Jouralist, Gypsy, wrote an article about the finalists. Have a read!
Howl out a wish for good luck to Jennifer, Susan, and Shannon. During the week, watch for their postings and lesson ideas, News from the Finalists, posted at this link. You will enjoy reading the articles and seeing the pictures the finalists post. I know I can’t wait to follow the educators this week!
Boys and Girls, you should encourage your teacher to apply for this next year!
Lots of Tail Wags,
Zuma
