You’ve probably been in school all week and that means you are excited that it is Friday because that means, you won’t have school on Saturday or Sunday. Saturday and Sunday are often called the weekend!
But during the Iditarod, the weekend may arrive, but the race still goes on and on until someone reaches Nome.
Mushers are racing from Anchorage to Nome. It doesn’t matter the hour of the day or the day of the week. It doesn’t matter if the sun is up or the sun is down. It doesn’t matter if the sun is shining or the snow is falling.
The race is on. Week day or weekend The race is on!
