Run Rest Run Rest Run Along the Trail

libby6Libby Here!

Before a musher starts the race, the musher makes a plan.

The plan helps the musher make decisions before the race begins.  Mushers decide what supplies to send to each checkpoint.

Mushers decide a plan for where to spend the 24 hour and 8 hour rest stops and send supplies to the checkpoints because of their plan.

Mushers also decide on a run rest schedule for the race.  Mushers train their dogs and during the race the dogs can run so many miles at a time because of how the dogs were trained.  Mushers set up a run rest run rest schedule.

Mushers who stick to their plan and their schedule usually find success and do their best in the race.

Do you think humans have a run rest run rest schedule?

Just spinning some De’tails’!
