The start of a new school year is a time to get together with old friends and it is a good time to meet new friends!
I wanted you to meet a friend of mine! Her name is Linda Fenton and she is the 2013 Iditarod Teacher on the Trail™. Linda is from Wisconsin. During the 2013 Iditarod, she will be in Alaska!
You can go to Linda’s website and read all about Linda. Your teacher can get some good ideas for your classroom. During the race, your teacher can read you stories that Linda writes while she is at checkpoints watching the race.
So friends, start the school year on the right paw, or the left if you are ‘left’ paw-d. Enjoy time with your ‘old’ friends. Make new friends! I hope Teacher Linda is one of your new friends!
