Hello friends,

We’ve all be howling here at the kennel! There is a 2017 Iditarod champion – Mitch Seavey. They are calling him the oldest and fastest champion. Well . . . he can take the title of oldest, but my K-9 friends are the fastest. Woowoowoooo! They completed the race in 8 days, 3 hours, 40 minutes, 13 seconds, a new record. At times on the trail they were going 11 miles per hour. Well, we love to run, and those dogs RAN!

Coming under the Burled Arch in Nome, the athletes all looked happy with ears perked up and tails wagging.  There are lots more dogs on the trail with their mushers. Stay tuned for more teams to finish the Last Great Race.

Tail wags,

Zuma
