Ed and Tasha Stielstra invited everybody out to their kennel to take a look around, meet the big dogs and love up the puppies. As a dog, this Sunday morning event is the most exciting part of the Mid-west Musher Symposium and Teacher Conference. Tulip, my team mate, came along. She moved from Michigan to Wisconsin two years ago. Her brothers, Triton, Mussel and Conch, still live at Nature’s Kennel. One of the brothers, Triton is destined for a great racing career. Triton ran in Iditarod last year as a two-year-old and he’s made Ed’s race team again this year. Way to go Triton! We’ll be watching and cheering for you from Wisconsin.

By the way, It took longer for us to travel in the dog truck up to see Triton in Michigan than for me to get from Alaska to Wisconsin by airplane!
