Puppy Cuddled by 1999 Teacher on the Trail™, Andrea “Finney” Aufder Heyde

Musher Matthew Failor of 17th Dog Kennel will be running Iditarod 2018.  Teachers attending the Iditarod’s Winter Teacher Conference visited Failor’s Kennel.  One of the many highlights of the trip was meeting the new batch of puppies.  They are 22 days old.  Their eyes have been open since they were 10 – 12 days old.  Giving the puppies the opportunity to be held and cuddled by many people is important for their socialization.  Andrea “Finney” Aufder Heyde, the first Teacher on the Trail holds this future kennel star.
